Creative Approaches to Fashion.

 Fashion Illustrations .
 Part 1.

Gaga?

Through a seriese of workshops I worked from life models and still objects and experiment with different ways of drawing, mark making and image making using both hand rendered and computer techniques. I had to think about appropriateness of media to represent different textures and media's. These illustraions went on to create a bound fashion illustration file. These workshops where highly helpful with my personal developement, as Iearnt I could use different media's to convay other media's.
Tord Boontje- Cut Out And Keep.

Research: In this first year of uni, I have learnt a lot, but this was of working 3 dimensionally has helped me to progress my work further and think of new ideas.

Part two: This part of the modular allowed me to get used to how my degree was going to work and what was expected of me when creating a body of research. I found it highly enjoyable as I was able to explore many differnt idea and outcomes.

Part three.
Buy/find three garments of my choice.
(Plain cotton or natural fibre garments provide a blank canvas to work with)
I used my research as a starting point for ideas, manipulated these three items into a new garment exhausting all possibilities and design ideas as customisation a chance to be experimental and show my creativity.

Final Manipulated Garment.
When making the final manipulated garment my aim was to consider serveral things of what I wanted to achieve. I had to create a reflection of my chosen artist and my two chosen words which would be the style I was going to create. After alot of research and samples, I decided to use weave to create the look I pictured. This proved challenging and was very fiddley to create as I weaved through a basic weave.

Creative Approaches to Fashion.
This module explored the role of visual research in the design process and investigated the visual language of design in relation to fashion design.

Nottingham.

The First week of uni, we went on a little trip to nottingham, and was told to go round Nottingham looking for inspirations, local Art and anything that stood out to us.
